I have that quote from your phone tattooed across my upper back. One of my all-time favorites ❤️

You've had an awesome journey so far...here's to so much more! 🍾 🥂

It's a goody isn't it. Do you have the whole quote or just the Tolkien part? Here's to another year of fun adventures on Substack and in the world!

Just the Tolkien part. I've never heard the extended version until now. Love it!

I added the second bit, but not sure if others have also used something similar 😅

I'm inspired by how you've taken small steps to turn your passions into reality – from creating magnetic bookmarks to hosting community events. It's a reminder that we don't have to have it all figured out to start making progress. Sometimes, it's the smallest actions that lead to the biggest breakthroughs. I can't wait to see what you create next!

Absolutely. I could never have planned what I ended up happening. Everything came about step by step. I’m looking forward to trying new things this year. ☺️

What a great year you've had, Mika! 😍 Your journey is such an inspiration for all of us perfectionists looking for our own way.

I'm overjoyed sharing more of your art is in the plans for 2025, looking forward! I've just received your beautiful gift and Iove it! Will put the zine in my wallet and refer to it every time I need a little pick-me-up 😊❤

When I was making it, I referred to it often. Sometimes you just need a pick me up.

Congratulations on such a great year and all those creative solutions and results! And I can't believe you actually send letters to readers around the globe!

I can’t believe people parted with their money to support me, even though everything is free. I just really wanted to show them how much I appreciated it. I slowly starting making everything and collecting the packaging etc. Then the last piece was after I was experimenting with creating floral collages. I worked out how to make a digital print out it and turned it into a card. I then painted the envelopes and sent it out. It was so much fun!

I’m so glad. There is a lot of noise out there and things vying for our attention. That’s why I feel so privileged that people gift me some of their time (and sometimes resources - thank you!💕) to be part of this lovely wee community.

Thank you for your lovely words. I’m so glad I can do what I love and not show up in a way that feels forced. I think ok so many platforms it feels like everyone needs to do a certain thing or be a certain way. I love that I can just muddle through and it finds the right people. Thank you for being on this journey with me. 💕

It was fun to slowly get all the materials together. Making the collage and turning it into a card was the final piece. It was so nice to address them and get them flying across the world to find their homes. 😊
